sure K2 allows for that.
From front-end --> you have to publish and use K2 User module, they have links for changing few details in profile.

You can change picture from back-end

ok, I get it, yes - from front-end also you can.

But first,

K2 --> Parameters and set to Yes - Enable K2 User Profile (see below)

You have to delete from php file. But don't worry you don't have to edit any Joomla core files.

ok, let's try .... (I used J2.5 files)

1) Open in HTML editor : gk_news\components\com_k2\templates\profile.php
2) Delete few lines, starting from line 85 to 101

Because that module from K2 package have links which your users from front-end needs, for example:
1) Add new item
2) My page
3) My account

1. There is another new problem.When the page is loading, often that massage appears for the visitors.
Is it possible that the problem is with the Weather module? When I switch it off, it loads the page properly, although some menu buttons I need to click two times, to have an effect! The problems started after we deleted the (rss) line.

2. If I create a new k2 element, should I do that so that I copy an already existing one? Maybe that could be the reason of that problem? Please give me an advice what could be the problem?

3. Another important question: Template browser(manager) /Advanced Settings/ should I let it on or off the buttons?. The default is off setting, did I changed that?

The error message is:
(The program can not run!

The possible reasons of the error:
- the program is bad
- in case of cgi program the interpreter path is wrong
- in case of cgi program the programcode's line-end is wrong (Unix line-end is compulsory)
- in case of php/cgi program , the file running rights settings are wrong
- in case of php/cgi program , the directory running rights settings are wrong

Are you talking about adding new K2 items ? Sorry but I don't understand idea hidden behind your question.

Yes, by default they are OFF, I suggest when you finish you site - turn one by one - and test your site if all works good. Because sometimes they can spoil the appearance of some components - of course until you disable option. So be careful. But sure it will help in most cases to get QUICK SITE.

Hard to say. What kind of Weather module you are using, you can use another one if you like. Or copy HTML code from Weather services and insert inside Custom HTML module. Than they will use it's own "code" only.

Magic or Curse ? because Menu is "simply" HTML code / no Flash / no Hardcore JS .

The problems started when we deleted the rss and the line from the profile php what you advised.

Now I changed the profile php , with the one that you sent earlier, and the weather module is working well for now.
I did everything according to your instructions, but I have no idea what was wrong with that.
Sometimes it slows down and do not always work the links for the first click.

It seems that when a problem is solved , another one comes instead! Now the " facebook like box is not working, but I ask about that in a new topic!
