When i create a link in a page using the JCE editor link builder and choose content the link opens the page in the home page main content area instead of its own page.
Do you know what is causing that?
Link loads page in Home Page area

Most probably it is caused by fact that the linked content has no menu item - all subpages without menu item are loaded on the homepage.
