I am trying to figure out how to setup to allow users to register to my site with the Game Magazine template. I tried to make a test account and it just brings me up to a random template page. I also tried logging in using the facebook login and it gives me an error An error occurred with GKF. Please try again later.

Can anyone please help?

To fix the issue with the facebook login you have to create a FB developers account. Because now you have the account of gavick.com, it won't work. It's quite simple. To create a Facebook app, go to the Dev App, click 'Create New App', and enter your app name and namespace to get started. URL: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/beta/opengraph/tutorial/

Thanks for the info guys, but what about the actual "register" button? Whenever you try to register it just pretty much refreshes the page.

Can you please check if registration is enabled in your site.
Go to joomla admin > Users > Click on User Manager

On right you will see buttons for New - Edit and so on . Click on Options. New Popup dialog box opens.
in "Allow User Registration" make sure "yes" is selected then save & close.

Try to create a test user. You might get an email registration error incase you haven't setup email settings in joomla admin but you should see your test user in Joomla Admin > Users > User Manager list.

See you around...

Thank you so much! When I was looking around, people said that the user registration was in the global config, but maybe that was a different version?

Anyway, it works now, <3<3<3

No problem at all , just for info, setting you are referring to is valid for joomla 1.5 global settings page. It has changed in joomla 1.7.
