Change the template folder name

Hi,

As requested by the client I've changed the template folder name from gk_game_magazine to template01 and also in the Template Manager section it's titled template01 - Default.

Problem is the language seems to be all messed up so in the 'Template Manager: Edit Style' section the headings look like this.

COM_TEMPLATES_BASIC_SETTINGS_FIELDSET_LABEL
COM_TEMPLATES_LAYOUT_SETTINGS_FIELDSET_LABEL
TPL_GK_LANG_TEMPLATE_COLOR
TPL_GK_LANG_FRAMEWORK_LOGO

Is there anything already listed somewhere that can show me the process of how to fix this please?

Many thanks,

Andrew

You need to change all occurrences of template name starting from templateDetails.xml to template scripts (probably /admin/script.js and mobile layouts), changing folder name and all records in database. I advise you to make backup before you start or download clean template and use some tool which can search phrase in multiple files and then replace it.

Many thanks for the info. I have Dreamweaver which may do the find and replace job well for the files. Not sure about the database though but will give it a go this evening.

What tells the error log ? Did you change all occurrences in database ? You can make it via phpmyadmin and use search option to find template name in tables.
