Cant get Login/register working for comments

I cannot get the comment section to work , When it prompts me to register it sends me to an a long form.
After registering and finally logging in it sends me to a 404 page not found. and then asks me to go back to homepage where it again asks me to login/register to comment.
why is this not working??

also is there any simpler way to enable comments on the articles??
