unable to embeded youtube

Hi Guys,

i'm trying to embedded youtube video into module using custom html but it doesn't seem to work. Tried with <iframe> but the codes was automatically removed once I click save and when I use the old embeded code the video doesn't appear. I went into the Global configuring to check the text filtering and my super user is 'no filtering' hence they shouldn't delete anything when I insert the codes.

Any idea?

Its more Joomla problem then our template - you just need to disable tineMCE for the time you are editing the modules (change it to no editor). Then the code will not be stripped from html.

Need some guidelines here. Don't really understand that part about tineMCE. anywhere I can read about that?

If you go to global configuration there is a setting that allows you to change default WYSIWYG editor (the editor that makes adding headings, images, bolding etc so easy).
Sadly, the editor don't like custom html code pasted inside, and it changes the code so it don't work as it should.
So to add custom html code (iframe from youtube/vimeo/whatever), you need to change editor to "No Editor" for time being, edit the module (or article), where You would like to place the code, then among all the html find the place where the code should be placed (I suggest just at the end), save the module/post and check if it shows correctly on live site.

Does that mean that I have to change back to tinymce after I've done editing?

Yes, you should, but every time you edit a module or post with custom html - then disable tinyMCE.
