GK4 News and RedShop images

On the Home page you have in the top right 2 News Show Pro Gk4 modules... I want to use the data source of RedShop Categories and use the images from that category to show up... it is saying no articles... when I use k2 it worked and had the images there...

Same thing with the News Pro Gk4 underneath the Image Show Gk4... my redshop categories do have images associated with the categories and I have Redshop categories in the setting for the module.

Its grabbing the product image not the category image... even though its set to Categories...

Just so I can explain it better so we don’t go back and forth. If you look at the demo... http://demo.gavick.com/joomla16/sep2011/ - where all the images are at the top...

Where it has Dolce... Winter Children and Catch... those are GK4 News Shows modules... probably grabbing images and such from K2 Articles or K2 Categories... I want to be able to put my Redshop category images... ie. images that I have assigned to a RedShop Category in those spots... I got it to work with K2 data... but when I selected Redshop Categories and selected my 3 Redshop categories (1 category image for each category for each of the 3 spots) - all it put there was the 1 product image I have in 1 of the categories... same thing happened with the 2 GK4 News Shows on the right - the Mango and Unitied Colors one... is there a way to show Redshop Category images (the image of the category) in those spots...

Can anyone help? In the past tech support was really strong with Gavick... went well with the great templates... lets hope it doesnt get weak.

News show Pro is designed to select and show articles or items from a category which is good for sites showing dynamic content such as articles and products rotating and so on, so if you want a static category images perhaps you are using wrong method/tools to achieve what you want.

If you want to display category images then it would be easier to use custom html module with a suffix then by customizing background image for the module you would achieve your category image then by adding extra css and a link to your category you can achieve the same look as news show pro but with a category image.

When you are using category image obviously it is static content rather then dynamic content so above would be suitable for your usage type i believe.
