Something went wrong with the search button and not only...

Hello guys,

We're useing Boutique template with RedShop at www.saten.bg

Yesterday we tested the search button and we discovered that whatever product we search - for example шалте or high heels - it displays the results, but shows ALL the products in ONE particular category - КОМПЮТРИ + . This category is totally empty.

The same with the component for new Collection in the down place of the first page - НОВИ ПРОДУКТИ - it displays the last products submitted to the site, but... linking goes again to this partocular category - КОМПЮТРИ +.

I would much appreciate of you help me solve this matter, as I am in my 2nd month in payed support.

Hi

If all Your menu items are using cyrilic than I believe joomla has stripped the alt names to empty space. Please try if the problem occures when SEF are disabled and if Yes than change the alt names to english for example.

Hi

Thanks for access. I can see that all the urls are like this

/kompiutri/-/99-/9/P24--high-heels-2

this "-" may point to a direction I've mentioned, the names of the categories were stripped because of not latin chars. Please check the alt names for categories.

My theory fits. For example You have categories: 000-000 and 111-111 and case when numers are stripped so both categories will look like "-" and pointint to only one of them.

Hi,

I rename some categories their subcategories and the products in this subcategories in latin and the url still look's like this

kompiutri/za-doma/13-spalnia/120/P81-silvia-11

za-doma is main category
spalnia is subcategory of za-doman
120 ... i don't know what is this
P81-silvia-11 is a product in subcategory spalnia.

why this 'kompiutri' still comes up? mm we've using external links in mainmenu to point in redshop categories (for some reasons) .. can this be a problem?

Hi

There is a great progres in displaying url. The category name is present now. So if it's still not working and pointing to a category with name "-" than it can be a cache problem or external links You have mentioned. Please send me an access details to Your joomla panel. I'll see why only this one category is displaying wrong.

Hi

I can see the links has finaly changed and are showing full name of category "copycopycopycopyHandbags" which means that it's ok nowm because the alias will not direct to a different category. Can You confirm it's solved ?

No, its not solved, because this category is not written with cyrillic, but our categories are in cyrillic

Hi

I've just checked it one more time and this time, I've noticed that there is no other "High Heels" result outside this one category

Unfortunately if this doesn't helped than I think that You should ask REDShop developers for help. The category name from settings You have set is not being used and I think it's the problem here.
