Issue With IE8 and IE7

I was wondering if I could some help with an issue I have had since I installed this template. Whenever a user tries access my site with IE7 or IE8 they are unable to add items to their cart. It will open the ajax box up, but nothing will ever add to their cart. I have tried messing with turning the selectivizer on and off, but to no avail. I have also found that when I turn on the Google Chrome Frame it will also cause the same thing to happen for IE9. It currently works perfect in FireFox and Chrome. I have also tried putting it in compatibility mode, but that will not work either. I think it might be a jscript error. Thanks for help on this.

I tried numerous times to upgrade to the 1.9.1.4 but everytime I tried I was getting error messages. Is this a known issue or is there certain files that I can copy over through ftp to fix it? Thanks

Just as an update I tried on gavick's demo site to see what would happen, and sure enough it is happening there as well. I think this is a MAJOR bug. I would imagine half the world is still using IE8 or 7. Can you please come up with a fix for that because we are having a lot of complaints.
