Well, am working on a site http://www.horisont.org/joomla25 and have Boutique installed (quick start package). The template loads very slow it is shocking. I put a picture in a story and the picture shows up after about half an hour. I mean it!

All the cache stuff is on. I have tried several options but it does not help. Is there any help out there?

Please look at your server response time http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/LgL8XcM ... g/joomla25 , even request of base URL takes nearly 3 seconds, this is definitely not template issue. Files which have significant load time are Joomla core files (not from our template) and you couldn't delete them.

Hi bkrztuk, thanks for your response. However, I think you have missed my point. What I am talking about is the changes that I make to the articles, which take a long time to appear on the page, and not the actual loading time of the site itself.

I have experimented with other Gavick templates too and I have never faced this problem. It only occurs with the Boutique template!

No one? My problem still persists. I make a change to an article and it takes ages to show (especially pictures). This is frustrating!

If you are saving your article and then refreshing your website to see changes and you don't see these changes then i presume you have caching enabled and that is the reason you don't see these changes straight away.

If you can check and let us know please.

Check if joomla cache is enabled.
Check for any cache plugins.

See you around...

Hi normanUK,

I appreciate your prompt reply. I have tried everything but the problem is still there. I have e.g disabled all cache plugins (joomla as well as gk) and then tried to disable one by one as well as enabling them without any success. This is happening only with this template. Other templates seem to be ok!

Hi normanUK,

There is some improvement. However, I am still experiencing some bugs. Sometimes pictures appear in the articles and sometimes not. I have to refresh the page many times before they appear. I am still monitoring the site using different browsers and will keep you updated.

Boutique is a nice template but it seems to be extremely buggy with Joomla 2 5!

If you have an opportunity why don't you install different quickstart template j2.5 in a subdomain and see whether its a server speed issue or the template itself , as if the server is overloaded it might be the reason your seen images disappearing / working after few refreshes.

Let us know how you get on. See you around...

Ok, I will try to install the quickstart template in a subdomain of a different domain and see what happens.

I will keep you posted!

Hi, there`s a similar prob with my Quickstart boutique 1.7 and k2 - new contents don`t showing - somethimes after hours. It works with copy the content, but that ´s no solution for longer because you can`t copy in the frontend. Thanks for help.
