Facebook login does not work correctly

I followed the tutorial https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... ocial-api/

I set up: facebook app + plugin + template (please see images attached)

But when you try to login/register via facebook you get the popoup asking for facebook user/passwd but after you input them, nothing happens: the login window still stays unchanged and the FB-login button does not work anymore.

For me all looks fine, please look >> http://d.pr/i/UTB2 but make sure that user registration is enabled in your Joomla! settings. The user accounts are creted ?

The user registration is enabled; to be sure I also tested it by activating a user via the "old" joomla user registration form.

To do that I used the email of my facebook account.

After the email activation I tried to login via facebook, and _ONLY_AFTER_ the old-way user creation, the facebook login worked. BUT ONLY ONCE.

After I logout I tried to login again via facebook, but now the button stopped working: if you click it nothing happens (again).

It seems that the facebook login works (but only once) only to login into your account that you previously created via joomla user registration/activation.

My Facebook plugin version is GK4 1.2; is there any upgrade that might solve the problem?

My template version is 2.10; I made several template overrides, especially the ones involving Vituemart. What would it happen if I upgraded the template? Would all the overrides be overrided?

If I can't use this feature I would like to deactivate facebook-login button; but even if I deactivate both plugin and template facebook option, the button still appears (now in a different position).

The account after create is activated ? Could you check this via user manager ? Do you have any facebook related 3rd party extensions ?
