Hello,

I installed the boutique Template on Joomla 2.5 together with VM2+

The Template layout is ok with Firefox and Chrome however it is completely Incompatible with IE.

The entire Layout of this template is broken and wrong on IE.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I had enabled something from the Backend and I didn't?

Thank you in advance

Hello and thank you for your reply,

I see the issue with IE7,8,9,10

You can check yourself.. k e e p i n f a s h i o n . com

Try both Chrome and IE to see the difference.

There must be something I did not activate from backend, perhaps from the template settings?

Hmm,
the only difference what I saw was font size (Chrome / IE10) - are you talking about that?

If not please make a screenshot page where you have errors.

For some CSS3 features in IE you can enable "Use selectivizr" in Advanced settings Tab (Template)

"selectivizr is a JavaScript utility that emulates CSS3 pseudo-classes and attribute selectors in Internet Explorer 6-8. Simply enable the script in your pages and selectivizr will do the rest."

That's strange, it seems that you are seeing the correct layout.

I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see with IE8.
I also did an IE compatibility test for IE7,8,9,10 via this Website http://netrenderer.com/index.php and it shows me the same broken layout.

I did clear my cache but the fact that netrenderer.com also renders the same layout proves it's nothing to do with my browser.
I can't understand why you are seeing it correctly though.

I already enabled selectivizr and the special CSS for IE are there.

It could be also problem with JS or CSS - some files are not loaded properly in your IE.
Disable all cache features in template. Test it again.
If you have friends with Windows & IE 9/10 on board ask them to test it also.

In meantime - I will try to find out.... give me some time.

Hi

I get the same issue with both On and Off.

The same issue also when the site is tested via netrenderer.com

Do you think that the template might not load the IE css files?

Hi , thank you for your reply,

Unufortunately, the IE compatibility button does not fix this issue.

I also updated to Joomla 2.5.11 but still the problem exists.

I don't know what else to do other than change to another template.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Thx again

Could you check our demo version on IE browser ? http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/boutique/ I've tested the quickstart version with IE8 and IE9 and there are no problems, images are available here >>
http://d.pr/i/M5W

and here

http://d.pr/i/9eJh

and really all looks fine there. In my opinion the problems are caused by your custom changes, of course Chrome and IE render some part of HTML in different way (especially fonts) but it looks like you have some unclosed tag. The W3C validator says that there is one additional </div>, please look at the report http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fkeepinfashion.com&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 of course you will not see this error when you validate our clean template installation or quickstart version.

We can only guess what happened.
I've tested our quickstart on IE8/IE9 emulator and looked fine. So maybe you made changes or installed something ?
