cart button

Hello,
how can i activate the cart button?
When i activate the cart-module, the cart-button is visible and there is a link without any function.
I want to link it to an external shop.

You mean cart button inside News Show Pro module or default VirtueMart add to cart ?

Are you sure you are using template for Joomla! 3.0 ? I'm asking because there is no VirtueMart for J!3.0 and even no cart module by default in template.

When I add the cart-position in template-details.xml and acctivate the cart-position, the cart-button is shown in the Main-Menu.
That's what I want. There is already a link (with no function) on mouse-over.
I want to link the to an external shop.

If you want to link cart to external shop in cart HTML elements code like this :

please just set HREF attribute to your external URL.

I have almost the same question but also like to add some information .....

I first tried Boutique on a Joomla 2.5 site and used Hikashop as eshop. I could just place the Hikashop cart module in position 'Cart' and it would give me a nice popup when i would click on it.

Now i am testing Joomla 3 and again with Boutique, but now i do the same but the popup no longer shows up.

The Hikashop module is the same, but how can i get the popup with the cart back, just like it was with J2.5?

Boutique for J!3.0 don't have special scripts for VirtueMart or cart because there is no version of VM for J!3.0, so the template don't have any eStore features.
