After upgrading to Joomla 3.2 the layout is partially screwed.

- articles are displayed twice
- unwanted category, publish date, update day, hits appeared
- unwanted social stuff appread, twitter, "pin it" icon
- update section of the template's settings is not available, showing "template_updates" text there

Example: **** (removed on user request)

Please provide solution ASAP!!

Please revert to previous version, we don't support J3.2 yet. Template updates to J3.2 will be released soon.

Now that all Gavick templates are updated to 3.2, what would be the best option in this case? Uninstall previous template version and install new one? Or should I simply overwrite template files via FTP with the new ones?

I suggest those steps:
1. Do backup of files and database.
2. Run Joomla update from Joomla panel.
3. Download current template and all used modules (GK Image Show, GK News Show Pro, GK Tabs, etc)
4. After updating Joomla go to extension manager and install each of those packages just as it was new plugin to install - they will override all old files.

After that all should work fine.

There are none of the mentioned modules on my site, just the template. I have installed newly downloaded template (without uninstalling the previous one, as was suggested), the articles are still displayed twice and there's "Tweet Pin It" social stuff under every article, even though all Social features are disabled in the template settings. When trying to switch to Joomla default templates, this problem doesn't exist. What should I try now? Uninstall the template completely and install it from the scratch?

Yes, please switch template to Beeze, uninstall Boutique (check with ftp if all files are removed), install again and check.
Please also post an url to your site.

I've uninstalled gk_boutique and made sure there was no related folder in the templates. Then I performed a clean install of the newly downloaded template. The problem still remains. It can be seen here: http://digoeva.com/fashion
