Hello,
the login page gives me a "400 TPL_GK_LANG_ERROR_INFO" on my up-to-date Magazine template.
I am using sef404 and mod rewrite.
Any help appreciated.

HI,
(1) check if you have en-GB.tpl_gk_magazine.ini in your language folder
(2) http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2462012
(3) disable sef404 for while and check if problem still appear, because template don't create such a errors
(4) enable sef404 but change default template to "protostar" then check

ok, now I'm waiting for result.

p.s.
sef404 is commercial extension, I hope that you have the latest version.

Hi Pawel,
all of the above mentioned steps are done and ok. My problem is only on the login & registration page where the next page ends up in error 400 or 403 sometimes 404. Protostar Template gives me the same.
With up-to-date sef404 off still the same. Since this error happened without me noticing it right away,
(it might be days or weeks ago) it's hard for me to find the reason. I go on checking...
Any idea?
Just in case you want to check yourself, I can send you a link by PM.

All though this error seems not to be related to the Magazine template I go on here ...
By disabling "Securitycheck Web Firewall" the login at least works fine again.
The registration page redirects still to
"HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request" after successful registration.
The registration email arrives and after confirmation the Magazine template tells me " JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths". But login succeeds!
I go on ...

Your second error "JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths" - is also not connected with template, but with server settings, please search on official joomla forum, what you need to ask your host provider.

As you see sometimes nice tools (extenstions) not work well on all servers settings, that's the "beauty or sux" of webdesign
