Please check the login module configuration and the redirect URL » screenshot
You can change the URL to some menu item and check whether the problem come back. Do you use SEF URL's and mod_rewrite? If yes please try to disable it and make few tests.

Hi

Sorry, but after changing the error showing level in joomla to maximum. I was welcomed with an error, please take a look at this screen. Was this the error You had in mind ? I think this is something You should ask Your hosting provider about. Also when I'm looking at site I do not see our template anymore. Have You checked if this problem happens here as well ?

Hi,

no, the problem on my mind was not that.
I just putted online the web site, setting "minimum" the report of errors.
I think that the errors that u said is generated when the error reporting is set to maximum.
I am speaking of a error that u are able to see only when site is online (now it is).
If u go to the homepage, sotetime u got the blank page and a js errors that speak about codification problem.
this occurs only on gavick homepage

Hi

The screen with error I've posted means "Codification error" as well, but just in Polish and it's visible in administrator panel, so looks like issue is not related to template alone.

Anyway I've just tried couple of times to log in and out, but have not seen the error again. Following the lead that this error appeared when maximum error level was set in admin panel gives a thought that this may be a wrong permissions problem (when errors are trying to be saved in log file) or server configuration (probably some outdated php function).

Even when I'm trying to google about such problem I get no answers connected to joomla, but couple about file encodding and server configuration.

Hi teitbite,

we are speaking of different problem.
I am speaking of a problem that appears only in the home page (Gavick template) and without enable any error reporting.
My subscription will expire very soon and i need to solve this problem really cause it's not nice.
I repeat the problem: sometime, when i go on my homepage www.upyourface.com, or after that i was loggedin and i loggedout (so i go again in the home page), i get a blank page! If i enable js console i can see a codification problem.
This happens only in gavick page.
Please let me know..

Hi

I still think it's connected. I have not seen the error You are talking about in frontend, even when I was logging and loggind out for 5min over and over again. But an error called "Codification error" appeared for me in backend after changing the error showing level to max. And since it showd in admin panel makes me think it's connected with server configuration (also the fact that noone else has reported that).

If only You can provide the exact message of the error than I'll google it and hopefully will tell more.

I want to solve it as quick as possible as well, but if we will not be able to finish before Your subscription runs out than we will move to Skype or mail until this problem will be solved.

Hi,
this is the message that i can see in js console when i got blank page: Non è stata dichiarata la codifica caratteri del documento HTML.

Hi

After translating the error message in google translate I thought this problem may be connected with validation (wrong html structure) or some special chars in content.

BUT

Than I oppened the site to check the validation and logged in. For the first time I saw the error in frontpage, but it appeared while logged in on frontpage, so the Chapelco template was used than. In this case now we have seen this error in Simplicity, Chapelco and admin panel. This tells for sure that it's not template related also since it was shown in admin panel it doesn't look to be a content issue as well. Which gives only the server configuration of maybe (new idea) a file codding. Can You please tell me if You have modified any files and what editor are You using?

Below the screen with error on other template:

Hi,

i think that i understood where is the problem.
The problem is the slider module.
Infact, in the dev site: www.developer.upyourface.com, i have disabled it and i tried a lot of time to do login and logout without any errors.
You can try by yourself.
So, if it is true, we have found the problem.
Now which is the solution?

Hi

Indeed error has not appeared when I just visited Your site, but I hardly believ it was a slider issue. This doesn't explain the error I've seen in admin panel where slider is not used. Please check if Your editor is set to encode chars to utf-8. I'm using Vim on Mac and as default it was using a charset of a file and I had to force it to save in utf-8 always.

I can see an information about charset:

Code: Select all
<meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="content-type">

New slider is set to use 1100px of height. Please check if there are settings in it to reduce it or try overwrite with css:

Code: Select all
.forcefullwidth_wrapper_tp_banner {
max-height: 300px;
}
