How difficult would it be to add the login position popup like in most of the other templates?

I have made an attempt with no success by use of the code from one of the other templates.
Can you please provide some general instruction to accomplish this?

What kind of changed did you make? Did you write the JavaScript code for login area or only move 'login' position?
