I am adding <meta name="robots" content="noodp,noydir"/> to the template.

Is there a way to add <meta name="robots" content="noodp,noydir"/> so that it will not be overwritten when updating the template?

Thanks!

Hi

I'm afraid not. The only place where this can be added is to /layout/blocks/head.php which is a file for content from between <head></head> and this file will be overwritten during template update.

Try maybe using Module Blank. You can publish it in "debug" module position and this module has an option to add any type of code to website. Also has an option to put additional lines between <head></head>

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. This could be a great feature to add to the themes / templates, to allow a place to enter code that would be placed in the head.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

I found https://www.nonumber.nl/extensions/sourcerer that will do the job if anyone else is wondering.

NONumber is one of my favorite companies for extensions.
