main menu item not showing up in frontend

Greetings,

in Joomla 2.5 i used one of your templates for my website (financial news).

Now i do want to build a site with the simplicity template in Joomla 3.4.8

The problem i encounter has to do with the access-levels.

When i publish a menu item to the login form with access level public, everything is fine, the item is shown in the frontend.
But when is set the item to "gust", the item is not shown. No user was logged in at this moment.

The second problem ist nearly the same. Having a menu item pointing to an article works fine. Give the menu item the access level registered leads to a dissapering menu item in the frontend. I mean, logged in users with the access level "registered" cannot see the main menu item.

Any ideas why this is happeining?

This functionality is handled by joomla, not our template, so if You have a problem like that You should contact joomla developers.
