Nothing but a logo???

Why when I installed this theme is there no background image, no nothing.
The code in template.css directs to the correct spot for the header.jpg but I have nothing showing.

I just wanted to load the demo site and work from there and quickstart didnt work either.

Quickstart works ok, I have just checked it and it installs and works fine.
Perhaps You have problem with transfering files to your site?
Remember also that quickstart is not a theme - its whole WordPress installation package and should be treated as installation package not as theme.

Why is there no way to import an xml file for the demo content of the theme if I dont want to do an entire wp installation?

Hi,

You can use *.json file with theme configuration and WXR files with demo content, but if you did'nt install a quickstart package, you have to set all widgets (with configuration) manually, widgets cannot be exported/imported using WordPress tools.

It's a text widget, with Image Background style, check this configuration:
