How to add like button to my facebook page

I'm using social media settings, and I have a Facebook App ID in order to have a Like and Share button.
This question probably apply to any template, but here we go anyway:

How can I make the "Like" button to actually like my facebook fan page? At the moment is not connected to the facebook fan page. I tried using my "Facebook Page ID" in the field Facebook App Id at the theme configuration, but it didn't work.

Actually it looks that when i click "Like" nothing happens.

I really need some guidance here please

So "like" button is visible but doesn't work? Probably you've entered wrong APP id. Please check this tutorial:

Yes, I had done that. If the Facebook App Id is wrong, then the Like button doesn't even show up (I know because I tried using the Page Id in that field)

Maybe, is just me that doens't understand how it works.

When I click Like, what I am really liking? and how it is supposed to appear on facebook?

Could you show me your site with this like button? you can send me a PM with the URL or post it here. Generally if this button is e.g. on your post - you like this post.

So, button like and share work properly on this site. If you want to add global like facebook button (for your website) you have to add proper code e.g. into footer or use some 3rd party plugin.

I got it working on another browser, for some reason it doesn't work on my chrome, but i guess it is a problem at my end and not at the website.
Things are clear now, I can have a Global like facebook button and I can also have (already have) like, share buttons for every specific post.

Try to clear your browser's cache - sometimes Chrome keeps the cache very long time.

Thanks, found it wasn't the browser cache, but AdBlock (a plugin i use on chrome).
