Hi there, I would like to have a different sidebar on say the news category page than say a standard page and to achieve this I added in woodojo sidebars which initially worked fine until I changed something on the sidebar widget area itself which then seemed to force all widgets down under the mainbody. As I say woodojo sidebars actually works fine as long as you do not touch the sidebar widgets themselves. However I guess my question is how do you add sidebars the correct way in your themes without this conflict of forcing the widgets down under the main content like you see here: http://www.jamjosandbox.com/etickets/category/news/

Also you can see the widget area on the right appearing on the homepage now even though I assumed any widget in the "Sidebar" area should not appear on the homepage. :(

Any help would be much appreciated trying to get sidebars to work correctly. Thanks

Hi,

Did you set "Sidebar Width" option from Simplicity -> Template Options -> Layout tab?
Could you please send me a PM with backend access to your website?

Hi there, yes the sidebar layout options seem to be correct. My issue is that I want a specific sidebar on the blog page (which is the news category specifically) and well when I do create a specific sidebar then it appears on the frontpage too. Right now the widgets are under the mainbody here: http://www.jamjosandbox.com/etickets/category/news/

I will send you a pm with my site backend access now and you can take a look at this when you get time. Thanks again

I've deactivated your woosidebar plugin, moved your widgets into Sidebar widget area (default sidebar from the theme) and use widget rules:
https://www.gavick.com/documentation/wo ... dget-rules
To display these widgets only on the blog pages.
