Can't remove GK News Gallery Widget from Quickstat

I've installed the quick start zip but am unable to remove the GK News Gallery Widget from the frontpage.

I've tried:

- disable widgets from frontpage
- deleting it from appearance / widgets / bottom II widgets

Any suggestions gratefully received

Hi,

Maybe you are using Frontpage template (not widgets) on your frontpage?
Could you please send me a PM with backend access to your website?
