Would it be possible to ask if someone maybe able to test this configuration for me, I've spent a day trying to see where there might be missing closing tags or somehting wrong, but todate haven't been able to find an issue.

I have the default, out of the box, QuickStart for J3 installed.

On the front page, leave the scrolling image header and New Pro module
Add a new Custom HTML module to the sidebar position (I have a simple image in it only)
Change the "Home" menu option to display 2 content articles in 1 column (which produces 2 rows)
Unpublish all modules under the mainbody/component position

In every browser except IE10, the sidebar sits to the side of the mainbody quite happily, but in IE *ONLY* the sidebar module floats under the main body

Thanks in advance, sorry I can't show this on a site, it's under development on our own internal servers at the moment.

Probably one of your modules contains invalid HTML code which break template structure. The best solution is to validate your website using W3C validator but I'm unable to help you more without site URL.

Hi there,

thank you for taking the time to reply, but I had already seen a large number of posts with similar replies and had already validated the page as clean with no errors, also if you notice, I had described that it was only on IE and that I had not changed any "content" or "modules" from the original QuickStart install. It appears to only happen with IE on the frontpage and when content is placed in the mainbody position. Did you actually test this scenario or is your answer just from past experience, not having tested it? If the modules from the QuickStart are left in place in the mainbody, it works fine.

Thanks anyway
