I want to separate the background image (bg_desktop) for each main menu option,
is that possible....

You can use two ways:
1) Page suffix (which can be added in template settings) --> https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... rent-pages
2) Tip: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... cted-pages
both solutions request your own css styles which will override <body> background image
when you'll read guides you will know how to do this, is quite easy.
