GK News Blocks Widgets - Hompage

Hi Gavick,

I would like to utilize some (of the four) homepage news block widgets to link to a specific woocommerce category, and a specific woocommerce tag, and hopefully somehow to recent products? How would I implement this?

Would I have to create four separate news block widgets? Would I have to create some kind of custom post types for my data source?

If its just a link (either image or text) You can use standard "Text" widget to place there any code You like.

Hey nkoller, Did you manage to get this done? I'm also after the same thing.

I like the News Block style but have absolutely no requirement for a blog or posts. I too would like to advertise a particular product category here which then links to the relevant WooCommerce page / Cat. Anyone else managed to do this yet?
