I'm looking to upgrade to 3.x from 2.5 creativity template. I already went to Components-->Joomla Update-->options-->STS but it still doesn't give me the option to update to 3.x.
My site is http://www.viralinnature.com which is live of course, but I copied and moved the site to a new domain http://www.viralinnature.ca which is not live and allows me to work on a new skin. Because I'm giving my site an entirely new template, I don't care about saving the CSS, but saving the K2 articles and links to them is a must for SEO reasons.
Believe me, I've searched for hours trying to find a solution before asking this question so please help. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
about how to upgrade - there are many guides in web (in English).
But remember to:
1) Make a back-up - before not after ;)
2) After upgrade you have to: re-install GK template, and all GK modules and plugins which are dedicated to J3.3+

I've tried those but none work. Is there a way to manually update it?
Akeeba won't install. I get this error
Code: Select all

        JFTP: :store: Bad response
        Warning: Failed to move file!
        JFTP: :mkdir: Bad response
        JFTP: :chmod: Bad response
        Unable to create destination

Option STS does not show 3.x

OK the update button just show up in Joomla update. I clicked it and it showed this error: JFTP: :write: Bad response
Then after it was done I got a white screen in admin and main site.

Now you have two options:
1) Check on official joomla forum, I think you wasn't first person
2) Hire somebody to make a full upgrade process by you (PM)

GK support do not include Joomla upgrade help, I think you know why.

I mistakenly thought Gavick had some bright people who could offer some advice rather than say go hire a programmer. Sorry for wasting your time.

You bought template not global Joomla support, sorry that you don't see differences.
