How to get menu appearing in the Frontpage slideshow?

I desperately need to get a menu appearing on my frontpage where the GK Image Show is running. Please advice on how to do this.

I have it set to show a menu in the template settings ... but nothing is there :dry:

My site is not live yet so please let me know if you need login info and I will send you a PM.
