When i link a menu type category layout with a module in the position sidebar and select to be applied only in selected pages doesn't work (the module isn't displayed in all categories) but if i select the menu type Virtuemart Front Page it works! Any idea.

Hi
I do not understand what You mean but this sounds as a landing pages issue. Try adding menu item elements with types of category layout for rest of categories so You will have a landing page to attach the module to.
