How can I change joomla default index.php to my custom index

I created a web page using HTML/CSS in dreamweaver, and I want my webpage to be my homepage from this my custom web page users can visite my joomla pages. How do I make my web page(index.html) the default homepage instead of joomla index.php?

Hi,
it's no problem to create a index.html - which is mostly loaded before joomla index.php .
But don't forget that you're using CMS (based on PHP), this is not simple HTML games anymore.

I did, one of them.
If index.html will be your first page all other should be in cms.

Option #2
Use two Joomla templates :
1) Very very basic (plan) for home page
2) GK template for others

on homepage publish only one article (or Custom HTML) where you put your HTML code inside. so people will see only this code (and maybe menu module) and all others site will be filled with "normal" content.

Now its your turn. GK forum is not a ostraining.com website.
