Hello guys , I enable the option in k2 to use the template css but The zoom effect on the article on mouse-over does not work. The rating stars are showing as numbers stocked up vertically . And attachment download link is only visible on mouse over.

Hey. Sorry for late replay - every time You "Bump" your post it goes to bottom of answer queue.
Do You have any working example, where those effects works well?

Please set:
"K2 default CSS"
to:
"enable"
reload your page and check in source code if:
templates/gk_shop_and_buy/css/k2.css
is loaded.

The quickest way to solve the problem is to copy entire:
templates/gk_shop_and_buy/css/k2.css
to
templates/gk_shop_and_buy/css/override.css

Just remember to enable "CSS override" in template settings - advanced section.

Well that only fix the attachment and rating problem but the nice zoom on mouse over on the article image is still not working. Isn't that javascript related ?

I assure You it is working.
1. Clear cache
2. Replace image with another - normal image - You will see what I mean (but even with this one if You look close enough - it is animating).
