I have a site here: http://www.genderjustice.org.za where I'm having issues with the menu. Sometimes the first time you click on a top level menu the drop down works fine - but then if you go to another menu and back to the original one, the drop down stops working. It seems that the menu is not picking up the mouse cursor position properly.

My client is getting very unhappy and wants another template... can we resolve this so I can keep them satisfied?

thanks, Ian

Is there any particular browser that this error shows on?

I work mostly in Safari (latest) but I've seen it in Firefox too, and I think Chrome (all on the Mac).
thanks, Ian

Could you please describe step by step how to reproduce the problem or even better - create a screencast showing it?

Sure - I've taken a photo rather than a screen grab so you can see where my cursor is. It is very easy to re-create. Here my cursor is over the 'Our Work' menu item, working normally.

And here is the cursor in almost exactly the same place, also over 'Our Work', this time not working:

If I move the mouse slightly, while still over the middle of the menu item, the drop-down menu disappears. Sometimes it's impossible to get it to reappear, and one has to click on a different menu item to get a page to reload and try again. Very frustrating, and gives the impression the web page is broken.

I can't replicate the problem - I have been moving cursor over one menu element very slow - still nothing. Could you please prepare a screencast?

Hi,
I've been experiencing the same issue on one of my sites. It's hard to replicate, but I think the problem appears when the mouse is moved quickly from one menu element to another, and then back again before the dropdown fully extends, eg. from "News" to "Our Work" and back again. The "News" dropdown will not work properly until you hover another menu item, allowing the dropdown to fully extend and then completely close again.

Nice website you've got, BTW.

There have been some changes to gk.menu.js script.
Please update the template and write back if it fixed the issue.

If not, try replacing:
/templates/gk_shop_and_buy/js/gk.menu.js
with the one attached.
