cart issue

Hi,

Got some issue with the cart menu.
If I add product to cart and continue shopping works fine
but if I go directly to menu to buy another item this gets stored in different cart?
looks like cart url is always at end of category.

Try if the same is happening if cache is disabled. Make sure You are using latest version of template and vm.

When adding product to cart, url adds '/cart' after the regular url ?
If customer continues shopping and hits 'Winkelwagen' (cart) top nav menu the /cart is gone and show another cart??

Can't find any 'real' solution in joomla or vm.

Please do not bump our own question it only resets the date and moves Your question at the end of the line. As You've found it by Yourself it's some kind of a bug in Virtuemart itself.

I've used one of solutions proposed to create a hidden menu item with VM frontpage type and I think it worked. Please check.

Also the hidden menu item doesn't work, still looks like there are 2 carts....
adding products, continue shopping and show cart (top) result in different results/carts

looks like something adds a '/cart'
Any suggestions.

Yes our tool is showing only a date of a last activity. And than questions are ordered by time.

I do not know the reason of Your issue. This must be something with Virtuemart, but try using a redirection added to .htaccess file.

Hi, this would not work because if you look at the cart after adding product it says 'url/product/cart'
Hitting cart to menu says: 'url/winkelwagen'

I've been clicking around, but I've never noticed "url/product/cart" anywhere. What I need to do to see it ?

But I keep seeing "/winkelwagen/cart" and the .htaccess overwrite would fix this part at least.

Just updated joomla to latest, looks better indeed...
But still if I check cart from topmenu or breadcrumb link, cart shows different products?

I'm no programmer but was reading this about router and hidden menu you mentioned:

Can I just copy/paste the redirect in the htaccess?

I do not know what can be causing this, to fix that You need to talk to VM support, but using my code in .htaccess should resolve at least the url problem. It will still have "/winkelwagen/cart" (so problem will not be fixed), but will redirect to "/winkelwagen" to the extra "cart" will not be visible there.

At least it's worth trying.
