need to remove " joomla default login " from login module.

i know i can go to Users → User Manager then click on User Manager. Once in User Manager Screen, click on ‘Options’ Toolbar button to show the pop up window, then set to “No” Allow user registration option, then click Save & close. The “Sign Up” link will not show again.

but that will stop EasySocial Login working properly ... and new users will have to be activated by admin.
so this is not a good solution ...

there must be a way to stop joomla using that position ..

#1 EasySocial Login module does not works correctly ...i have placed this in " login "
and it looks like joomla default login its taking over that "login" position.

even if i disable the Register link in template option "features" where there is a login url ... does nothing ...

a) also there seems to be a conflict with the JavaScript ... because singup with facebook does not work when used with EasySocial Module ... or with EasySocial OAuth Login Module...the only time that works is by going over to connect and use that facebook login...

thanks

i have contacted stackideas and this is what they said

Hm, it looks like the Joomla template that you used hardcoded the registration links on this particular page.
I am not too sure if there's any work around for this. Do they have a documentation on how you can change this link? That link isn't generated by the module. I could help you add the modifications but the FTP access that you provided does not include the password :(

*update* from stackideas

I am still not too sure about this as I can't find the place where this link is generated. Could you check with the guys from Gavick? I could help you to modify but I just need to know where is it located :p

Hi,

I found the file to replace the joomla registration link with your jomsocial one.

/templates/gk_msocial/layouts/default.php

Find this line and change the link to your jomsocial one (The link bit is in bold)

<a href="<?php echo JRoute::_('index.php?option=com_users&view=registration'); ?>" id="gkRegister"> <?php echo JText::_('TPL_GK_LANG_REGISTER'); ?></a>

Take a backup of the file first in case you notice any other issues, then you have it to re-upload

There is also the register links on the popup login window to change, will post when I find them

Respect,

Marc
