probably we had to this, after stable version will be available. However, this is not priority today.

I send your question to GK developer.
But I guess it will get update soon after published stable version of JomSocial.
This template is still supported.

I have confirmation : MSocial, Music State & University will get update for next version of JomSocial,
but it will request some time, because JS 4.0 made lots of changes.

JomSocial 4.x is nice, but it made big changes in code , so please be patient.

till today, nothing has changed in that topic.
maybe soon something will be published.
