Grid image not scaling from desktop to mobile size

Hello,

for THUTO.com I created a jpg - 1120px wide for:

1. THUTO | MEDIA
2. THUTO | FOUNDATION.

They are not scaling.

Is there another way to do this so that its both desktop and mobile size?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by scaling. Grid behaves exactly as it should on your site keeping tiles within designed proportions (squares or rectangles of sizes based on multipies of square edge)

1. I used a grid in the header area of front page
2. For Grid 1[1] I have 1 image that is attached to this position.
3. Image is 1120px wide

4. When you look at website on desktop, the image shows THUTO | MEDIA in full. Heading was created in photoshop.

5. When you look at website on mobile device, the image shows THUTO |MEDIA NOT IN FULL ... it sized down to where you can only see TO | ME

Q: How should I do this differently?

You should place this image in a separate module outside of grid.
