Display Full Name in Profile as Default

I notice on your demo of the MSocial theme, the Buddypress members all have their full names displayed, however on the site I have, only the first name shows. How can I set this to be the default with First and Last names being displayed, without having to make changes in the admin panel? I would like users to register on the front end and have their full name show that way. All my users so far have added their last names, but they do not display on their profile page or in the feed.

unfrotunately there's no built in option to change it. You can try this plugin:
