Hi there,

I copied the Buddypress register.php file to edit some text and saved the amended one in my child theme here:

"themeURL.com"/wp-content/themes/Msocial-Child/buddypress/members/register.php

However, the actual registration page, while showing the changes to the text I made, recreates the navbar, sidebar and footer as seen here:

Can you help?

Thanks,

Andrea

Could you please provide me with FTP and backend access to your website via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it?

I deleted the register.php file from the child theme template as to set the registration page back to how it was, with no duplication in header etc. That's the only change I made today. I can't imagine that would have changed all the formatting...? I put it back in case, but it's still all strange. It's 9am here, and that's the only thing I did since getting up and reading your response. I also checked the nav settings in the M Social admin panel, but those are not changed. What else could it be???

Do you have some cache on your server? Could you ask your hosting provider?

I removed W3 Super Cache. That caused the secondary formatting issue. However, the register.php file, when amended and added to the child theme, still created the duplicated header, nav and footer on the Registration page.

Do you have a recommended caching plugin? All the ones I have tried have crashed the site and I am wondering if there is a conflict with the theme.

Thanks!

DId you use W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? I've noticed some of our members use WP Super Cache and don't have any problem with that.

I'm still working on this issue with the register page.

WP Super Cache, when activated, gave me a blank white screen instead of my site...

Could you enable wp_debug and check if you have any error when this plugin is activated?
