Hi,

we have a problem with the filter for the posts on the front page. We have chosen to use the standard blog post for the homepage. So we set "Widgets Display on Homepage" to disabled. The posts show up fine but the filter to include/exclude specific pages or categories from showing doesn't work. We just want to show a specific category but it always shows all.

We tried to use NewsShowPro instead. Here works the filter but it has not the same nice visuality. So we would prefer to use the standard blog posts.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello,
Could you please provide me with a URL to your website and back-end access via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it?

Hi,

The default mainbody area on the frontpage (when Widgets Display on Homepage" option is set to disabled) always shows the latest posts, theres no option to include/exclude categories or posts, but you can do it by using custom WP Query.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query

in Msocial/index.php file instead of the default query.

Hi,

Thanks for your input. I'm not so good with php - so I used this plugin: Ultimate Category Excluder. And now everything works fine.
