Hi, I installed the Music State quickstart but the featured artists is not in the homepage. The modules are there (Featured Artist I, II) if I change the position to bottom 1 it appears, but in the grid 1 not. And even in the other position the style isn't like the template live demo.

Any idea?

Thanks

Grid1 position is displayed only inside Grid module - did you already publish also grid module somewhere?

I think that we misunderstand - the Grid GK5 module should be publish on some template position and then the content for grid on gridX position to display module inside grid.

Correct: The module that creates the grid is in position bottom1, and creates grid2, the modules with featured artists are in position grid2 but nothing in the website

This is the website: http://www.therelentlessagency.com/index.php

What is type of module which you call 'Featured artists'? Could you publish it on some other page so I can check it?

Ok I think there is misunderstanding in this area. The Grid module on demo use JomSocial module to display this avatars - do you have JomSocial? Could you just show me configuration of the module published on this grid1 or grid2 position? What type of module do you use there?

You're right! I don't have JomSocial... that's the problem. Any chance to get the same mouseouver effect with custom html module?

Right now the module is "custom html" with "gkPhoto" class

You can try to simulate code from JomSocial :)

Code: Select all
<div id="gk-jsfeed-717" class="gkJSFeed gkJSFeedType-user">

               <a href="/joomla25/musicstate/index.php/jomsocial/937-erica-evans/profile" class="gkAvatar" style="background-image: url('http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/musicstate/images/avatar/2685e1ee587a7037de7861b4.jpg');">
         <span><em>Erica Evans</em></span>
      </a>
         </div>

That's single photo HTML code. Of course it is necessary to change links but classes and structure should be the same - then you should get the overlay effect.

I have jomsocial and can't get it to show anything in the module. I am nor familiar with grid yet, so I know it's my ignorance, but which module should I be changing to integrate with my jom social users so that their images show in the featured artist section?

The module is called GK JS Feed and it is available in rest_files package or just deactivate in our quickstart. You can check module configuration here » Music State Configuration - GavickPro Documentation
