Hi Any and Everyone!

I have recently purchased and installed the new Music State template for a new site that I am developing.

http://www.the-luxury-market.com

I have installed the quickstart package and have tried to swap out a photo for one of the feature artist images which. However I have loose the animation effect (Scale) and there is also a margin (gap) at the top of the image despite making the image size exactly the same as your demo image.

I want to swap all of the image but retain the nice animation effect. How do I do this?

See attached image.

Thank you.

Hello,

Did you used the same structure:

Code: Select all
<a href="#" title="Robert Gavick">
<img src="images/robert_2.jpg" alt="Robert Gavick" />
</a>

and did you set the "gkPhoto" module class suffix?

Yes I thought I was using the same structure. However the editor, was changing the structure upon saving the module to this and adding paragraph tags:

Code: Select all
<p><a title="Robert Gavick" href="#"> <img src="images/robert_2.jpg" alt="Robert Gavick" /> </a>
</p>

I then discovered that I had to re-configure the editor (now using JCE). The editor was originally configured as “Paragraph Container & Paragraph on Enter” in the JCE Administration :: Editor Global Configuration settings. I had to change the settings to “No Container & Paragraph on Enter” which solved the problem so that now when I save the module using the setting “Format” instead of “Paragraph” it works as designed.

I am setting up the Grid module on my home page to link “Featured Artist” to my JomSocial users. However I now fail to see how to get the “users/members” NAME to appear in the animation when you hover over the “users/members” image? Right now it is showing a “Link” icon and should show a name, for example “Robert Gavick”. On the demo site for this template all of the “featured artist” names appear when you hover over the image.

The documentation could be improved and extended a little bit to address these issues. :-)

Yes the module class suffix was being used correctly.

You're now using the Custom HTML module, if you want to display the username on hover, please use the GK JomSocial Feed module instead. And please configure it to display the specific user profile (you can display in this module user photos, status or profile).

Thanks for letting me know. I was not even aware that there was a JomSocial Feed Module and I could not find any documentation for it in your Documentation Wiki or anywhere else for that matter.

In fact I have not found any really useful documentation for the Grid module either so it all trial and error and spending LOTS of time on the web trying to figure out how to configure things.

Are there any SPECIFIC instruction on how to configure both the JomSocial Feed Module and the Grid module together to achieve the effect that you have on the home page of this templates (Music State)?

How would someone with not much experience ever figure this out by themselves? I know it is probably every easy to configure but not if you cannot find even some basic instructions. I maybe missing something somewhere but these are the first Gavick products that I have purchased and they are perfect for my project! :)

Thanks!

The grid module is described here: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... k5-module/

The GK JomSocial Feed module configuration is available here: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... iguration/

Please look especially for the modules under grid2 (JomSocial) position, i.e. this one: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/wp- ... (JomSocial)/GK-JomSocial-Feed-704-tabs.png
