Apologies to mediators, I accidentally made this post private earlier today.

Hello All,

I have just installed J3.2, and I have downloaded and installed the latest Musicstate J3 template, and installed per Gavick instructions.

All default J3.2 templates function perfectly, but Musicstate produces error.

1st view showed this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40961 bytes) in /home/casarev/public_html/libraries/cms/component/helper.php on line 350

I increased mem in php.ini to 100M and received following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 104857600 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40961 bytes) in /home/casarev/public_html/libraries/cms/component/helper.php on line 350

I then set mem in php.ini to -1, and received the following error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I am not a programmer, but do know my way around server and Joomla set up, and hope to solve this over the weekend, before my team come in on Monday.

Best regards, Terence.

Hello,

Did you installed a quickstart package or the template package over the existing Joomla! installation?

Hello, thanks for the reply.

I downloaded the quickstart package, and used the 'discover' function in extensions, as per this post:
https://www.gavick.com/documentation/ge ... -manually/

I didn't understand if this was the correct way to install. I just gave it a try.

Thanks in advance. Terence.

It is definitely wrong way to install, because you have used the quickstart package not the template package. More details here: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... t-package/

The quickstart package should be installed as a Joomla! installator package.

Hello Mr Dziudek,

Please forgive my complete stupidity, I can't believe I got that so wrong.

Of course, that's the way to do it, and in fact I have installed other quick start templates with no problem.

Thank you for your professional response.

Back to the server tomorrow.

Best regards, Terence.
