Hello folks,
my site with MUSIC STATE is running J! 3.4.8 and I wanted to check with you if the template MUSIC STATE has been tested with 3.5.0 and therefore it is OK to update the Joomla! installation.

Thanks!!

Hello gents, I know you're running short of resources to go thru all of the forum questions, however I don't need a specific help for an issue, but just a confirmation I can safely use the MUSIC STATE template under Joomla! 3.5 nothing else.

Thanks in advance for the support.

Hi

I've just made a test myself and it works, but You may also need to make an update to modules. Anyway first thing to do is to make a copy and update everything there. If everything will run smoothly You can just replace it.

Hi teitbite thanks for the reply. I have one issue regarding the update: I have seen in the update section here: https://www.gavick.com/updates?task=update&id=2530&catid=4 that MUSIC STATE has been updated. What is therefore the correct procedure to update the template, without overwriting some custom text, translations and images that I have modified ? I suspect that if I simply install the template via the Joomla! "install via zip file" it will overwrite the files I changed, is that correct ?
In this case what shall I do ? Can I, for example, pick the modified files that you released, and overwrite the corresponding ones, one by one ?
Thank-you for the help!
Regards Andrea

Hi

Content and images are kept in joomla or database, none of them is held in template. So update will not remove that. The only thing that will be reset are template files (along with override.css file), so if any changes were done there, You should separate it and add all the changes again after update.
