Image size not changing after editing article

I want the article images smaller (shoe is the example). When I adjust it, it changes the resolution, but I have not been successful in changing the actual size of the image on the page.

My site is password protected because it is not live. That is why I posted the demo above, it is the exact same type of article, same type of page, I just want to know where exactly I edit the image size. I can send you a link, but that would require a PM, with a new username and password to get on my server, and another for Joomla.

The image is set to has maximum width of it's size, so if you will upload smaller image, it will will be smaller .
