Hi,

I am renewing an existing j2.5 site and an using the instyle template for this.
As it is a site with a separate Intranet area I am using three main-menu's in the site. One is for the public area, the second is for staff, the third is for registered users.
I have three menu's and each one is in the main-menu position according to the user-state. Also a user can move between these parts, and will see after each move a new main-menu accordingly.

So, I can not work with the one menu setting that is in the template.
That is why I set this to the off position and published a menu-module in the menu position.
But doing that I can not see the menu.

Is this normal behaviour? Is the template blocking the usual menu-setting also if the setting to use the template-setting is set to off? Is there no mainmenu position?
Is there a way to get my three menu's related to different users end content using the template setting?

I read lost of menu related info but could not find info on my issue.

Thanks.

If you publish this menu on mainmenu position it is normal because mainmenu is not a regular module position. It is part of template where only our menu may be displayed. If you want to display regular mod_menu modules you need to use some other template position or create new one.

Okay, thank you for your information.
I understand that now.

I tried to use three styles/copies of the instyle template, with each its own mainmenu-module in the template. But that did not work.
So I get that the template generates one instance of one menu that is valid for the complete website. Is that correct?

If I want to use the instyle template and also want to be able to generate three main-menu's I would have to install three websites for that. (Or use another template.) There is no shorter less complex way to do this?

Thank you.

best regards,
Paul

You can include all items in one menu and that's only solution to use our menu because this is part of template code. If you need to use 3 menus you need to use some module and add own styles.
