Product details virtuemart not displayed randomly

Hi, could yopu please help? I configutared the virtue mart categoris to be shown in gk news module. The products are displayed correctly, but when I clic on the products the product details by virtuemart are shown only randomly for the products. In adress bar of browser I see then it passes to product details but remains on general page. The products are froms same categories. tried to change alias and sku for product but does not help

Maybe your product is not related to some menu item and that's why URL to product page is wrong, please check this tutorial http://www.gavick.com/documentation/questions/how-to-make-links-working/ for more details.

Hi, no I have verified the menu and the same products details sometimes are displayed and sometimes not displayed. The url is www.mini-lenceria.es

Could you tell me which product should I click to see this problem? I've checked several ones and it is always forking fine.

Sorry but in this case your custom code will not work with our menu because it use !Important rules which is very bad idea. Please open file chosen.css and remove this lines :

/* overwrite the element.style only necessary for the beez standard template, you may remove it */
div[style]{
overflow-x: visible !important;
overflow-y: visible !important;
}

The file is located in com_virtuemart/css directory.

The issue is like folowing: the first 4-5 clicks work fine. Then it stops working, bur is is allways random. I did not modify any css for virtuemart, but I will make the changes you suggest.

But the issue persists. It reproduces sometimes the link to the product does not work from the beginning, sometimes if you choose the product and then press back arrow in browser to return to list of ptoducts then other links to product do not work. I have menu options for all product categories. Do I have to create a menu item for each product? If I must how can I make automatic the process?

Do you use some cache or CSS compression? Could you check whether the same problem happen (with back button) on Beez template?

Hi bkrztuk, the issue is reproduced only with gk news module, for pictures that this module displays. I do not have this problem with standard articles or standard vm categories.

And I did not modify any cache or css compression settings, everything is by default after quick start

The problem with CSS is related with your particular template, vm.css should be disabled and this issue is impossible to reproduce with quickstart package - this is something with your VirtueMart configuration. This additional styles may overwrtie template default styling and this cause all problems - please disable this vm.css file.

In global VirtueMart configuration disable loading default CSS - this is the only way. In our quickstarts this option is disabled by default.

Hi, where exacrly do you mean that configuration? U have looked in Site-Global configuration, there are no options about css. In virtuemart configuration there is only Use virtuemart css option, I hace enabled it but the issue persists. First time it works. Then after pressing Back browser button and selecting other product it doesnt work. I can't make tests on beez template as I can't install toyr gn news module on beez template. Coul you please explain how to make it work on my template?

Use default css was disabled by default, I enabled it and the issue persists. So it persists same thing with enabled and disabked Use default css option. The first 2-3 product click are ok. Then The link in browser is correct site-categorie-product name, but it stays in product category page

Could you tell me step by step what should I do to replicate your problem? I've just tried to reproduce this issue but it is impossible with our quickstart package.

The architecture is the folowing: I create several gknews modules and several virtuemart categories. Gknews are set up to display virtuemart categories and there are options in menu for the categories

To reproduce the issue I do the folowing:
1. I go to the principal page: www.mini-lenceria.es, there is a gknews module down the page.
2. I click on the first product called collar-mini-lenceria-leopardo-1 and in the browser direction bar the link becomes http://mini-lenceria.es/index.php/virtu ... etail.html, but the product details are not shown, there is only gknews with all the categorie items.

3. Sometimes when I make the first clic on the product the product details page is shown. Then I clic BaCK BUTTON IN THE BROWSER AND RETURN TO HOME PAGE http://mini-lenceria.es/
4. Then I choose other product and go to the product details. In this case the issue is like in point 2. The browser link direction is correct, corresponding to the product id, but is shown all the categorie gknews.

The products details are shown or not shown randomly. Sometimes same product details is shown, sometimes not.
To reproduce the issue, please go to this page for example: http://mini-lenceria.es/index.php/virtu ... ceria.html and clic on every product. If the product details are shown press back button in the browser and return to the categorie. Then press other product and so on 5-6 times. At 5-6 time it stops showing peoduct details, but the direction link in the browser line will change

All the items displayed in News Show Pro are related with menu item? If yes please make sure that there is no multiple assignments of one page so several menu items because then Joomla! will generate path to first assignment. It really looks like issue with modules assignment to pages and articles in News Show Pro to items.

Hi bkrztuk. Under items do you mean categories? Because it is impossible to create a menu item for every item (product)... Do you mean then same product can't be represented in several menus with different categories?

It may be category or item - no matter but every product should be connected with at least one menu item.

Hi bkrztuk, I got away from the menus all the duplicated categories, but the issue persists. When I click on virtuemart items it blocks for several seconds and does nothing. Could you please debug it to know why exactly the issue happens?

Could you check whether the same happen on Beez? Maybe it is caused by some module or plugin?

Hi bkrztuk, you already reccomended me it before. But the issue occurs only with Gavick news pro module. It does not happen with simple virtuemart pages. The issue is exactly in gk news module.

Is there any way to replicate this problem? I've visited your website and every time all is working fine.

Hi, for example go to http://mini-lenceria.es/index.php/virtu ... ceria.html with Google chrome or Internet Explorer. Press on the first product, it does not pass to to product details page (at least for me not). If you can see the product details with price press Browser back arrow. Choose the folowing product, then Browser back arrow. At 5 or 6 time you will not be able to see oriduct details page.

Do you use cache? Please also try to disable SEF URL's and mod_rewrite in global configuration for tests.

Ok, so the problem is with your server. If you want to use mod_rewrite please firstly contact with your hosting provider for more details whether you can use it or not because right now your rewrite rules are working exactly like in topic title - 'randomly'
