Multilanguage question

Hi, I,ve installed english and spanish languages and I see 2 languages in language manager. But while editing the module settings the spanish language option is not visible, how can I resolve it? Thanks

Could you make a screenshot of 'content' languages? Probably you have only installed the back-end language but don't create content lang.

Hi, I verified content language, only english installed. But when I select Content-Install language-Choose spanish-Press install then I see the message Language installed successfully. But agter it spanish is still not present in Content languages or module languages

This content language you need to add directly by clicking 'Add' button, auto language installer will not do it for you.

Must I add the Es language from Contect language-New and create a language putting manually ES in the required fields and then duplicate this file en-GB.tpl_themeXXXX.ini and translate the required fields manually more or less like is described here http://www.templatemonster.com/help/es/ ... plate.html

Yes, this system labels should be translated automatically when you install language package and make this lang active on front-end.

Hi bkeztuk, I have installed ES language, activated System language filter and Language switcher, but the language are not shown in the list, the list is empty and also there is no possibility to show languages as flags. What am I doing wrong?

The language tags are set correctly in this CONTENT language, could you show me bigger screen with other columns? Until the lang switcher don't return any results it means that you configuration is incorrect. Please also make a quick test and check whether the language switcher is working or Beez template or not.

Hi bkrztuk, I tried to reproduce the issue with beez5 template but the language switcher is not visible there... Also is not visible in some of quick style positions. here are the language filter and switcher settings

If the language switcher is not visible it means that Joomla is still not seeing your added language. Did you create separate menu for your new language and assign the home menu item? Please check carefully this tutorial » How to create a multilingual site in Joomla 2.5 – GavickPro Documentation

Hi bkrztuk, the multilanguage switcher is working now! But there is other problem - gknews virtuemart categories picrures are not shown for not english languages. I tried different combinations - change language to virtuemart categorie, assign onlu 1 language for module the issue persists. If a gknwes module is multilanguage there is no possibility no make it visible for other languages, please see module settings and resulkt for non English choosen languages in attach

Please note that VirtueMart categories are also assigned to one of your language so if you want to show the same categories/products for different languages you have to duplicate categories/products and News Show Pro module for every single language.
