Price is not changed when custom field is selected

Hello! I have added a custom field related with the size of the product. The problem is that the price is not changed when the user select one of the options of the custom field. Any help? Thanks!!

Hello! This message maybe is something temporary failure of joomla. I have noticed it once, but with the second try, I log on without any problem. I just checked the administration panel and works fine!

Try update template to the latest version. I was told it will be fixed couple of days ago so there is a chance it was released already.

Normally I should just be able to install newest template over the old one, but in Your case server settings does not allow that. Scripts doesn't have permissions to delete/overwrite files I believe. In such case easiest it to overwrite the files via ftp.

Thank You for PM. It's good to have all of it in one place. Saves a lot of time. Unfortunately another problem occured and I was not able to login to joomla panel: "An error has occurred. 0 Cannot open file for writing log". I think there is something wrong with Your server configuration. You should show this to Your hosting provider. For custom fields affecting price I believe it's just not configured like that. Thanks to FTP I could make some tests and there is no price modification there at all even if list of variants is there. I have also tried with a default joomla template and price is not affected there as well. You need to show this to VM developers so they will help You to configure it when joomla panel will be working again.

I don't think that is a problem of the installation of VM. I tried locally (in wampserver) the default Jooma and VM installation and everything works perfectly! But when I installed Joomla and VM using gk_instyle_quickstart_J!3.zip then the custom fields don't change the price. So, the problem becomes from the installation of gk_instyle_quickstart_J!3.zip. Have you tried it in your own server if this installation works properly with custom fields?

I do not think it's a wrong VM installation either, just some misconfiguration or probably some specific server configuration. If this works for on Your local server and mine than I think the only one who can help here are VM developers. It does not work with default joomla template so it has to be something VM related. I'm afraid I'm not a VM expert so I cannot help here.

I have tested again the default joomla and VM installation both in my local server (wampserver) and in the remote server and everything works perfect! The price is changing when someone select the custom fields using the dropdown menu.

So it is obvious that there is no any misconfiguration in the server!!!! The problem becomes from gk_instyle_quickstart_J!3.zip.

This is such a strange problem. I can see it works with the new product You've prepared in new copy at marlen5, so I have checked with the marle4 again and it's still not working for default template http://g.recordit.co/A8rmF4mcSr.gif

Also the problem that I cannot login to joomla panel. This issue pointed me into thinking that server is not configured properly. Please check if paths to /tmp and /log folder are correct.

I'm sending this to programmers. Maybe one of them will have more luck with this.

I've informed programmers about the problem and send them Your access. Will inform You when they will answer.

BUT I've just noticed 2 things on /marlen5

1. There is only one product and the url does not use Greek characters
2. There is no other modules which can conflict with this

So this is really not a test. Please make joomla panel usable here as well, so I'll install inStyle and see it than.

I corrected the paths to /tmp and /log folder both for marlen4 and marlen5 folder. I also corrected the greek alias of the specific product with english characters and the problem remains (http://www.justfortest.eu/marlen4/el/ol ... 0ml-detail).

I have not installed any other modules in marlen4 except greek language for VM (there are only the modules included in the installation of the gk_instyle_quickstart_J!3.zip).

Fixed. All that has to be done was to update template to the latest version. That was the first thing I've tried, but a package with fix was released a day after that

@fiotakis please try to overwrite the templates files with a template package, maybe programmers has not updated template in quickstart packages. Also tell me where You want me to install it ? Which url ? I mean.

@pespe I do not see this issue on the page You've mentioned and there is no validation errors there as well, so I believe it could be happening because some html inconsistency in description. Anyway this issue is a lot different than @fiotakis has, so I need to ask You to create a different thread for Your problem, if it's still a problem, as I said I do not see it right now.

I downloaded again the latest version of gk_instyle_quickstart_J!3.zip (I noticed that you changed it).

When I installed this package and tried to open the site, firefox gave me the following message:
"The page isn't redirecting properly".

So this package doesn't work!

I also tried the solution you proposed me (to overwrite the templates files with a template package) but the problem remains!

PLEASE give me a solution AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Ok. Now I understand what is going on. Files are fine if You install the latest version of template. Problem is that that You need to set custom field "size1" on position "addtocart". Like programmers did here already: http://www.justfortest.eu/marlen4/en/oi ... 0ml-detail
