When we go to this URL to download Template. https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla-themes

There is no explanation on each compressed Template file categories. Would it be possible to add this information on this page. Instead of having to read dozens of pages to understand your architecture.

FA package with a template – it is a *.zip file including a template’s name in its name and Joomla! version for which a given template was prepared. Example : gk_corporate_J!1.5.tgz is a "Corporate" template prepared for "Joomla! 1.5" whereas gk_coffe_J!1.6.zip is a "Coffe" template prepared for "Joomla! 1.6"

1) Download on your local computer
2) Connect on your administrator interface of Joomla and go to Install Extensions menu=>Admin extensions
3) Browse your local folder and install the .zip file Template

FQuickstart – it is a *.zip file with a “_quickstart” sequence at the end of the name which includes a special version of Joomla! installer allowing to create demo content very quickly which is available to display at demo.gavick.com. If you want not waste time to configure your Joomla! Template you can use Quickstart packages that offer a functional website in a few click and help you to create a website that matches the look and layout at demo.gavick.com Web site. The whole process is very easy to run and may be treated as a normal installation of the Joomla! environment, but with all the extensions and their respective settings, content, module positions and menu assignments pre-applied in order to perfectly match the template as it appears on demo page. Quickstart is joomla installation, so you install exacly as a regular Joomla installation.

1) Upload the compressed gk_template_quickstart_J!3.zip file to a folder on your Web site
2) Extract files Under /public_html folder or sub-folder
3) Open your browser and navigate to your URL address (for example, http://www.mysite.com) and sub-folder (if necessary) from which you will perform the installation. The installation screen will come up. Follow the instruction.

Frest_files package – It's a *.zip file which includes all additional files connected with a template. Rest_files package includes plugins, modules and PSD files (source files) strictly used by a particular template. Rest files package is not an installation version and you don't get settings like at demo.gavick.com. You can use Rest files packages when you have joomla Web site already installed.

Note : You can install quickstart temporary somewhere else (even on localhost) and set same settings in your joomla Web site as it's in quickstart temporary Web site.

1) Rest_files is a package which you have to upload and unzip on your Web Server.
2) Connect on your administrator interface of Joomla. Go to Extensions menu and Install modules
3) Connect on your administrator interface of Joomla. Go to Extension menu and Install plugin.

Hi

I understand this is confusing, but it's not as big issue as You may think. Of course users has this problem from time to time, but a link to this article https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... rt-package clear it out.

If there are any other problems than I'm here to help.

This rest file package must be a mistake, I'll let programmers know about that. Thank You.

Hi

I have checked this quickstart included in rest_files package and it's an old template version with last Virtuemart working only with joomla 2.5. It's useful for people who do not want or cannot move to joomla 3.3.
