Question about com_k2store

The InStyle quickstart does not come with com_k2store. But the top_nav menu uses it for the shopping cart. However, the shopping cart link seems to work fine anyway.

In the back end, the menu item "shopping cart" in the "top nav" menu looks disabled, but when you click to edit it, it says it is published and it throws an error, com_k2store not installed. I'm wondering if I should install K2 store.

I also have a bug on my InStyle site related to this com_k2store shopping cart link. If I add multiple items to my cart it shows the wrong images for the products in the cart module. This bug is relatively new and seems to have started after I added a lot of products and images. I am tempted to install com_k2store, but not confident that I should. We aren't using K2 much on our site... Virtuemart is used much more... and I really just don't understand what the shopping cart has to do with K2 anyway. Confused all around at this point...

This template works with Virtuemart only, so You should not install K2store. Where can I see this K2store related issue ?

For the images in cart issue please make sure every product has an unique SKU sygnature. This is how images are recognised in database.

If you install the InStyle Template via the Gavick QuickStart Template you will get this issue. To see it, go to administrator, and edit the "top menu". You will see one of the menu items looks unpublished... it's type is K2 something or other. Edit it. You will find that it is actually published. But you can't edit it because com_k2store is not present/installed.

Our products in Virtuemart do not have SKUs. Are you saying that is why this is happening? I need to add SKUs?

I'm afraid yes. SKU is used in image name, so without it it's just an order number and images cannot be recognised in some places.

Which Joomla E-Commerce templates work with K2Store? Please advise.

We do not support K2Store I'm afraid, but I see no problem why is should be working with our templates. But unfortunately if will need to use a default css style which came with this extension.
